Press Release: FRANKART SEEKS COUNTY COMMISSIONER SEAT

Bill Frankart, Seneca County

ADAMS TOWNSHIP – 1/6/22 — William (Bill) Frankart is seeking the Republican nomination during the May 2022 primary for Seneca County Commissioner. His petition was submitted and approved by the Seneca County Board of elections in October of 2021.

As a lifelong Seneca County resident, current Township Trustee and business owner, Frankart would add a rural perspective to the Commissioners Office. Frankart lives in Adams Township and is serving his fourth term as Adams Township Trustee. He owns and operates Ridge View Farms and Sand Ridge Real Estate, a family grain farming operation in Seneca County.

“I am deeply invested in our community and its future,” Frankart said. “I believe my rural perspective would provide and important voice to the Seneca County Commissioners.”

Frankart ran in the 2020 election and has remained very involved in the area. He is currently serving on the county-wide Broadband Steering Committee and the EMS Committee. He has extensive experience with budgeting and strategic planning from his time as a township trustee and from managing the family farm. Planning for the future of Seneca County is critical to Frankart and he will work hard to maintain a healthy budget and ensure that a strategic plan is in place for maintenance of buildings, roads and properties.

“As Township Trustee, I have built good working relationships with the County Engineer, Mark Zimmerman and with our County Auditor, Julie Adkins. These and other relationships will help me hit the ground running,” Frankart stated.

Frankart has been married to his wife Janet for 18 years. Janet (Geyman) Frankart is a graduate of Heidelberg University and managed the Corner Drive-Thru in Green Springs until 2018 when the Frankart’s sold the business to allow them to focus more on their family and farm. Frankart’s oldest son works at BSE Welding & Fabricating. Their son Brady is a high school junior and is involved in football, 4H and the Green Springs volunteer fire department. Kayla is a freshman and plays basketball and is also involved in 4H. The Frankart family farms together and is involved in the FFA and Young Farmers.

“Seneca County is my home and I want to ensure that it continues to thrive. The experience that I have as a Township Trustee and business owner, along with my perspective of the rural area would be a strong asset to the Seneca County Commissioners.”
