Green Springs – 9/6/19 — Lifelong resident, township trustee and farmer, William (Bill) Frankart is seeking the Republican nomination during the March primary for Seneca County Commissioner.
Frankart lives in Adams Township and is currently serving his third term as Adams Township Trustee. He owns and operates Ridge View Farms, which farms corn and soybeans in Seneca County.
“I am deeply invested in our community and it’s future,” Frankart said. “I know there are many issues and topics brought before public officials and I believe my rural perspective would provide and important voice to the Seneca County Commissioners.”
Frankart has extensive experience with budgeting and strategic planning from his time as a township trustee and from managing the family farm. Planning for the future of Seneca County is critical to Frankart and he will work hard to maintain a healthy budget and ensure that a strategic plan is in place for maintenance of buildings, roads and properties.
“I have good working relationships with the County Engineer, Mark Zimmerman and with our County Auditor, Julie Adkins from my time serving as an Adams Township Trustee.” Frankart stated.
Frankart has been married to his wife Janet for 16 years. Janet (Geyman) Frankart is a graduate of Heidelberg University and managed the Corner Drive-Thru in Green Springs until 2018 when the Frankart’s sold the business to allow them to focus more on their family farm. Frankarts oldest son Zach is a recent high school graduate and works at National Machinery. Brady is a freshman and is involved in football and 4H. Kayla is in seventh grade and plays basketball and is also involved in 4H. The family farms together and is involved in the FFA and Young Farmers.
“I firmly believe I would be your best candidate. The experience that I have as a Township Trustee and business owner, along with my perspective of the rural area would be a strong asset to the Seneca County Commissioners.”
