News: ADAMS TOWNSHIP RECEIVES FEDERAL FUNDS

ODOT Township Stimulus Program

Green Springs – 3/17/2022 — Adams Township will receive $60,000 as part of ODOT’s “Township Stimulus Program”. The Township Stimulus Program is a one-time program that provides Federal funds to townships for sidewalks, roadways and culvert (less than 10 feet) projects located within township limits.

Adams Township applied for funding for the TR 148 Culvert Replacement and was awarded $60,000 to cover the cost of the project. Trustees Bret Cleveland, Dave Carothers and Bill Frankart and fiscal officer Joline Humber worked together to fill out forms and submit the necessary documentation. The township trustees collaborated with county engineer Mark Zimmerman and Dave Kin assisted on the design work.

To be eligible for the Township Stimulus Program, the projects had to be:

  • be within township limits;
  • be the maintenance responsibility of the township;
  • require no or minimal environmental or right-of-way work; and
  • be a culvert (less than 10 feet in span), sidewalk, or roadway (including pavement marking and guardrail) project
