As a county commissioner, I will continue to listen to and work with residents, which is what I have done as an Adams Township Trustee. With all concerns and issues, I gather the facts on an issue and see where they lead us.
I have traveled in and around the Sunny Farms Landfill area, talked with residents of Fostoria and gathered information on the situation. I will evaluate the procedures in place at the landfill and the SWMD host agreement. I also plan to look at how other states manage their large scale landfills. I believe that local oversight is better, along with guidance from the OEPA. My goal will be to work with other county commissioners in the OSS district and come up with solutions. I have no vested or personal interest in Sunny Farms Landfill.
