Letter to the Editor: Jim Feasel

Thank you to everyone for your support, from your verbal support, posting yard signs, financial donations and public statements like this Letter to the Editor that was in the Advertiser-Tribune on Saturday, February 1, 2020.

“It is important that the concerns and issues of all county citizens be represented on the Seneca County Board of Commissioners. In Mike Kerschner and Tony Paradiso (who is running as an unopposed incumbent) we have two fine business people who have bene doing a great job and will no doubt continue. What we need now is a third person to represent the large rural and agricultural portions of our county.

As a life long farmer and agribusiness person Bill Frankart is a great fit for that role. His 12 years as a Township Trustee have honed his skills of seeing issues from different perspectives. Being very active in the community Bill knows a great many people personally and his contacts would represent a wide spectrum of views on local issues.

It is no secret that the two major local concerns in Seneca County are the proposed wind turbines and the landfill. Bill has spent countless hours over the past two years working on the wind issue, submitting testimony and making numerous trips to the Ohio Legislature in Columbus expressing his adamant support for a voice by vote for residents in areas affected by wind projects. This position brings everyone’s input, whether for or against, into the decision of our area being transformed into an industrial landscape with all the benefits and ill effects that would come of it.

On the landfill issue Bill has commented that, even though many believe there is little the County can do about the situation, he will be on the lookout for any opportunity to “put a lid on it”. No doubt a lot of people would agree that a lid is exactly what the place needs.

Electing Bill Frankart to the Seneca County Board of Commissioners would ensure that the perspective of the over 30 thousand rural residents in Seneca County would be represented in every Board decision.
